Many residents in Las Vegas are at the edge of desperation about the unaffordable housing market prevalent throughout the valley. The increase in housing price is not in pace with the increase in household income. The more they save, the more they have to pay for the homes as housing prices are increasing at a much faster pace. This is preventing them from owning a house of their choice.

Apart from teacher and nurses even the white-collar workers, single people and families with single income are unable to acquire a home of their own. The rates of the houses are increasing day by day. By the time people save money to buy a house of their choice the rates have already increased much beyond their capacity. The people who have moved in from other cities in search of jobs and shelter despite being unable to buy a home do not want to return as the pay here is much better than any other city.

For many two jobs is the only option so that they can qualify for mortgages and are able to make the payments in time
